- - water bottles
- - the sun (actually the sun is very large, but you know what I mean)
- - nice coworkers (some of them are large too -- although not as large as the sun)

I actually grew up calling them "Scrunchies"
We have a famous Dave's gift card to use too :) Yum Yum.
You know, I was thinking "scrunchies," but I thought that only referred to the binders with the fabric around them. But maybe that's all I used. It's a puzzler. :)
I think we called them scrunchies because the ones with fabric were what was popular then...
Ponytail holders! Are you losing all your Illinoian (Illinoisan?) terminology?? :)
(Actually...I don't know if anyone else called them this, but I know that's what I've always called them.)
I called them ponytail holders too if it was just the rubber band. Or the weird one that had little balls on each end that wrapped around each other. I never could figure out how to put those in my own hair. It was a scrunchy if it had fabric on it. And don't think my mom didn't make scrunchies to match our flowered shorts!
P.S. Wednesday night and still pregnant.
i vote for scrunchies. anything with or without fabric that is rubber-band like that can hold hair in a bunch. scrunchies i say!
Holy buckets, you know what? Alison and Heather have it... "ponytail holders"!! That's totally it. I can't believe I forgot that. Whew. Thanks.
And yeah, the ones with the balls were stumpers. Wayy too complicated and mysterious.
Heather, hang in there... I know it sucks!
They may have been ponytail holders when you were with your friends, but at the Ryan household, I believe they were...
Doo dahs!
See, I knew I could count on people to come through here. "Doo-dahs," of course, Jean I forgot all about that! Now, I kind of thought "doo-dahs" were only the ones with the balls. But did it include ANY holder?
